Journey as a Tourist in the University

One of my first writing assignments in class was to write an experience in the university as if I was a tourist. I  had missed the class where they explained what we had to do, but I asked a friend and to my understanding I had to write from a tourist's point of view if he was in the university. So I basically wrote a little narrative story of what would happen.

"I arrive at the UPR entrance with little to no knowledge of the spanish language. A friend told me to meet him in the general studies building with the initials AJBR. I try to ask people around the train station how I could get there but no one seems to understand me. I walk by what appears to be a museum and stop in front of a library where I find a girl that sort of understands me and she proceeds to try to explain to me how to get to my destination. I barely understood her but I just smiled and nodded my head to not seem rude. She pointed to the bottom of the slope I was heading towards to. I keep walking, feeling awkward and desperately trying to call my friend but he doesn't pick up the phone. I arrived to a building with a frog shaped entrance which I had heard was the Natural Sciences building so I went to the left of the building along a path and stopped right in the middle of an intersection where you could go different directions. I was about ready to leave when finally I get a call from my friend, he heard my desperate voice  and quickly instructed me to follow a path between the Natural Sciences building and the general studies building with the initials DMN. I finally see my destination and am relieved and happy that I am almost there so I quickly walk into the building where I see my friend ordering food at "Sabor Criollo". He asks me if I want something but the only thing I wanted was to give him a piece of my mind!"

That's the story I wrote. Maybe those weren't the exact instructions of the assignment but that's how I imagine my journey as a tourist in my university would be like and I had a lot of fun writing it.
